About Us

Team Imperial Dragons was founded in 2025 and launched our inaugural racing season in 2026. Our motto is: “Be part of an ICAAHK tradition that lasts.”

What began as a grassroots initiative by several dragon boating enthusiasts from the Imperial alumni community—who united at Stanley Beach during the 2024 race—has quickly evolved into a dynamic and diverse team. We bring together alumni paddlers of all skill levels and backgrounds who share a common goal: to channel our Imperial spirit, drive, and competitiveness into a positive force long after graduation.

Fast forward to today, the Imperial Dragons stand out as one of the very few overseas alumni teams in Hong Kong. Our roster features competitive paddlers determined to bring home coveted trophies each year. We train hard every week, hitting the water in Stanley every Sunday during the dragon boat season.

True to the ICAAHK ethos, our focus goes beyond just winning races. We are deeply committed to community building, succession planning, and nurturing the next generation. Don’t worry about your experience level—whether you are a complete novice or a seasoned veteran, there is always a seat in the boat for you, as long as you are ready to give it your all!

We are a tight-knit community that values excellence, lifelong connections, and mutual support.
