About The Event
Dear alumni and friends,
Greetings from ICAAHK - whether you are in Hong Kong or any other part of the world, we hope you are staying safe and healthy during the Coronavirus outbreak.
We understand that many of you are following closely the escalating situation of the outbreak. Every day we come across a vast amount of information from different online and social media platforms. How then should we protect ourselves against the virus? How is COVID-19 different to other coronavirus diseases?
We are pleased to invite you to our webinar - What You Need To Know About COVID-19 - where Professor Christl Donnelly from Imperial’s School of Public Health will join a panel discussion with some Hong Kong-based experts in epidemiology, moderated by Dr Stephen Ng (CV attached). The event is jointly organised by ICAAHK, CMI (Hong Kong) and IEEE (Hong Kong).
Details of the Webinar
Date: 27 February 2020 (Thursday)
Time: 17.00 - 18.30 HK time / 09.00 - 10.30 GMT
No pre-registration is needed. Join the webinar on 27 Feb at https://link.icaahk.org/COVID19. Submit your questions online before and during the webinar at https://link.icaahk.org/QnA.
As a university specialising in science, engineering and medicine, we are also happy to share some progress from our alma mater’s research groups on the matter. Academic reports1 have been published by the School of Public Health since mid Jan, and a research group2 led by professors from the Department of Infectious Disease is also working on creating a viable vaccine against the virus. More information can be found at the bottom of this email.
Stay healthy and connected!
Regards,
ICAAHK
