Technology wonder! Very excited that the Imperial annual summer mentoring event 2020 was held virtually among 100 mentees and mentors in Hong Kong and the UK without a glitch on August 1st.
The theme: Embracing the New Norm. A panel discussion on ‘career paths and plans’ was moderated among six mentors in the fields of: civil-, aeronautics- & EEE-engineering, R&D, healthcare, banking & finance, innovations & startups with subsequent breakout sessions.
2020 is an extraordinary time for our students, who are adopting a new way of learning. It is also a challenging time for our mentors, whichever stage in life, sector or business they are in. We are all unlearning old rules or processes, and relearning to accept and embrace the new norm.
